Submission does not guarantee publication.

License Grant (Limited Use)
By submitting your story and any photos, you grant JoynTokyo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Publish, reproduce, and display your Submission solely for the purpose of creating and publishing your story article on the JoynTokyo website
  • Share or promote that specific published article through JoynTokyo’s website, newsletters, and official social media channels

Your Submission will not be used for unrelated commercial purposes without your additional consent.

Draft Review and Privacy Options
If you prefer privacy, you may request that we blur or cover your face or any identifying details. You may also submit edited photos yourself.

JoynTokyo will make reasonable efforts to incorporate requested corrections prior to publication.

Ownership and Rights
By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:

  • The Submission is your original work or you have full legal rights to submit it
  • The Submission does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party
  • Any individuals appearing in submitted photos have consented to publication

You are solely responsible for the content you submit.

Editorial Discretion
JoynTokyo reserves the right to:

  • Edit Submissions for grammar, clarity, formatting, or length
  • Decline to publish any Submission
  • Remove published content at our discretion

Public Nature of Published Content
You understand that if published, your Submission may be publicly accessible worldwide and may be indexed by search engines.

While we may remove content upon request, we cannot guarantee removal from third-party archives, cached pages, or search engine indexes.

Use of Our Infographics & Images

What you may do
You may reproduce, share, embed, or adapt JoynTokyo infographics and other publicly posted images (“Assets”) as long as you provide a clear, working link back to the original JoynTokyo page or the JoynTokyo homepage (https://joyn.tokyo as the source.
The link must appear on the same page/screen as the Asset and be reasonably prominent (e.g., “Source: JoynTokyo” linked to the original URL).

What you may not do
Remove, obscure, or alter any JoynTokyo logos, watermarks, or copyright notices on the Asset.
Use the Assets in a way that suggests JoynTokyo endorses you, your product, or your viewpoint without prior written consent.
Sell the Assets as standalone files or include them in any product whose primary value is the Asset itself.
Use the Assets in any unlawful, defamatory, or misleading context.

Third-party rights
If an Asset includes third-party trademarks, photos, or data, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with those parties’ rights.

Revocation

Reporting misuse

User Conduct
You agree not to:
